Environment Club students at Mailimoja primary school planting trees in combating drought   Tanzania has been experiencing climate change as has the rest of the world; however, Tanzania  has been experiencing longer droughts leading to water scarcity. This has metamorphosed into a crisis. Water being critical in sustaining human life, its scarcity has led to numerous critical situations, especially for young girls in schools.  According to 2023 , world banks report,  Tanzania  is reported to    experience a loss of USD $2.4 billion    yearly due to    inadequate water, sanitation and hygiene  ( WASH) services . 'Maji ni  Uhai Project' is therefore designed to address this challenge through advocacy, awareness development and support water purification,  rainwater  harvesting system and borehole construction to 10 primary  schools.                   ...
