Inclusive Green Economy Network (IGEN) East Africa Tanzania Chapter Strategic Workshop

 Partnership for green future hosted the IGEN East Africa, Tanzania chapter strategic workshop in February, 2025. The workshop brought together ten partner organizations under the IGEN (EA) - Tanzania Chapter to shape the vision, strategic direction, and operational roadmap for the Chapter. The IGEN (EA) - Tanzania Chapter held a strategic meeting from March 26-29, 2025, bringing together key stakeholders committed to promoting the Green Economy agenda in Tanzania. Environment Club students at Mailimoja primary school planting trees in combating drought   Tanzania has been experiencing climate change as has the rest of the world; however, Tanzania  has been experiencing longer droughts leading to water scarcity. This has metamorphosed into a crisis. Water being critical in sustaining human life, its scarcity has led to numerous critical situations, especially for young girls in schools.  According to 2023 , world banks report,  Tanzania  is reported to    experience a loss of USD $2.4 billion    yearly due to    inadequate water, sanitation and hygiene  ( WASH) services . 'Maji ni  Uhai Project' is therefore designed to address this challenge through advocacy, awareness development and support water purification,  rainwater  harvesting system and borehole construction to 10 primary  schools.                   ...

Partnership For Green Future COP 26 STRIKE

PGF coordinated children, youth and different institutions in Tanzania to raise voice in COP26 by striking with different messages advocating for zero investment in coal mining and fossil fuel. Interschool art competition in designing art work for displaying messages aiming at demanding for just transition to clean energy. Comedy drama and songs on immediate and sustainable solutions towards climate justice.
